If that doesn't keep you busy... -Franklin Pierce Homestead The period childhood home of our 14th President. http://www.conknet.com/~hillsboro/pierce/contents.html -Kayaking on the countless nearby ponds and rivers -Swimming at Pierce Lake, Beard Brook or Gleason Falls to name a few. We can also direct you to more secluded, hike in swimming spots. -Fishing is enjoyed in the state stocked trout stream on our property or paddle out onto one of the local ponds for bass fishing. If your skills need sharpening arrangements can be made for fly fishing lessons. -Hiking and biking is popular in the 1400 acre Fox State Forest just up the road. -Ballooning is popular in this area. With at least a week advance notice we can arrange a trip for you. Sometimes the balloons launch from our field in front of the house! -Skiing and boarding
